How does MAC benefit its members?
MAC brings minority teachers together on a regular basis to discuss concerns and give/get support. It teaches how the Association operates and how to get involved and move into leadership positions. It raises awareness about issues affecting people of color. MAC helps minority students become educators through the scholarship funds. MAC also provides information about what is happening statewide.
MAC meets regularly (no more than once a month) during each school year. Meetings follow an open forum that allows for discussion of issues relevant to CEA, minorities and the classroom. We meet at CEA headquarters in Hartford.
