Local Associations that are planning to start or expand internal public relations programs or community organizing activities may be eligible for direct matching grants from CEA. CEA provides matching dollars for local Associations to use for print, radio, TV, or community relations projects as well as internal public relations programs, such as a member newsletter, in four categories. Those categories and the matching amounts include
• Category 1: Individual local Association for internal public relations — up to $1,000
• Category 2: Individual local Association for community organizing — up to $1,000
• Category 3: Combination of locals for community organizing — up to $1,500
• Category 4: Individual Association for technology program or equipment (i.e., digital camera, desktop publishing software, modem, scanner) — up to $500
All grants are approved by the CEA Public Relations Commission and are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. All applications must be received no later than June 1.
