CEF Golf Tournament History
In 1991 the Connecticut Education Foundation was formed, a 501(c) (3) nonprofit, charitable organization. In 1994, an idea was born to host a golf tournament that would raise money for The Children’s Fund to assist Connecticut’s needy schoolchildren.
Connecticut’s teachers often found themselves spending their own money to help their neediest students to buy clothing, school supplies, food, medical provisions, etc. — the basic necessities that their own families could not afford.
We raised over $700,000 and this is our 28th tournament (one year missed due to Covid). One hundred percent of this money goes directly to The Children’s Fund.
