ESSA and You

Share your concerns and hear how the new law will impact your teaching

Plan to attend a CEA regional meeting in March to find out how the new Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) could influence the work you do as a teacher. ESSA allows options regarding teacher evaluation and high-stakes, standardized test scores, but Connecticut policymakers must agree to modifications. Weigh in on the changes you would like to see Connecticut implement regarding teacher evaluations and standardized test scores.

Regional meetings will be held on the following dates.

Monday, March 7 Litchfield County
Tuesday, March 8 Windham/Tolland Counties
Wednesday, March 9 Hartford County
Monday, March 14 New London/Middlesex Counties
Tuesday, March 15 Fairfield County
Wednesday, March 16 New Haven County

Visit cea.org next week for specific information about meeting locations in your area.

This is your opportunity to join together with your colleagues to improve Connecticut education policies, regulations, and guidelines to enhance teacher instruction and student learning.
