Poster Contest Helps Students Learn About Radon

Enter statewide contest

The Connecticut Department of Public Health is accepting submissions for the 2016 Connecticut Radon Poster Contest. The contest helps increase awareness of radon, which the U.S. Surgeon General has warned is the second leading cause of lung cancer after cigarette smoke and the number one cause of lung cancer in nonsmokers.

The contest is open to all student ages 9-14. The top four winners will receive gift cards and along with 11 other posters will be included in the annual Connecticut Radon Poster Calendar.

Entries must be received by Nov. 13, 2015.
