Share Vital Information with Your Colleagues

Resources for your 10-minute meetings

As a building rep, you are a trusted resource and the first line of defense for your colleagues. Help keep your colleagues up to date on issues relevant to them and their profession. Use these speaking points at your next 10-minute meeting. We will send you fresh speaking points every month.

  1. Connecticut needs a budget that works for all of us—a budget that invests in public schools and protects children.
  2. Education funding must be a priority. Our children's future and the future of our state depend on it.
  3. Connecticut is currently underfunding public education by more than $700 million per year. That can't continue.

Legislators may vote on a new state budget on Sept. 14. Tell them to pass a state budget as soon as possible that:
