Local and NEA Affiliates
Build a web site for your local association and CEA will host it for you for free! Send us your files and we'll add a link to your local site here. Contact our Webmaster for more info or questions.
How Can Local Associations Set Up Site on CEA?
Local Affiliates have two options of setting up a site and having it linked on our Web site.
1. CEA Hosts Your Content
CEA will host Local Affiliate sites for free, however, each association is responsible for creating and maintaining their content. All content should be in HTML only and will be forwarded to CEA's Webmaster for review. If there are no rendering or technical issues, then the content will be uploaded and published to our server. Subsequent updates to files should also be sent to the Webmaster.
2. Use a Third Party Hosting Provider
Locals also have the option of having their site hosted outside of CEA. Some of the affiliates that host their own website include the Berlin Education Association and the West Hartford Education Association. Although the content doesn't reside on our servers, CEA will still provide a link to your association Web site.

What Software Do I Need to Create My Web Page?
There are a variety of HTML/Web editing programs that have been used to maintain content (ex. Adobe Dreamweaver). A few users have also used MS Word and Publisher, but that is discouraged since excess code is added 'behind the scenes' and may not make the page viewable in some Web browsers.
