The Third Annual Closing the Achievement Gap Conference

May 28th 2008, 8:00am-4:00pm

University of Connecticut- Student Union

 

The third annual Closing the Achievement Gap conference will be held at the University of Connecticut on May 28th, 2008. The conference will feature keynote speaker Sonia Nieto. Dr. Nieto’s work focuses on multicultural and bilingual education, curriculum reform, teacher education, and the education of Latinos, immigrants, and other culturally and linguistically diverse student populations.  In addition,over 15 different conference speakers will present research-based best practices related to closing the achievement gap.
