Do your BEST video on DVD this year!
If you're submitting a portfolio for the first time in May 2008, you now have the option to submit the video on a DVD. Read and print the SDE guidelines for video submission on a DVD.

Portfolio Overviews - 07-08 One way to get a 'snapshot' of the BEST portfolio is through the Portfolio Overview for your subject area. These overviews briefly outline what each section of the portfolio contains, what you need to do in each section, and what you need to submit as part of the portfolio for each section.

Guiding Questions - 2007-2008 Knowing what's on "the test" is a sound start to preparing for it. The BEST Guiding Questions for each content area were developed for the portfolio scorer to use as a basis for scoring your portfolio. By understanding what the guiding questions are asking you to demonstrate in your classroom, you'll have a more clear understanding of what your portfolio must contain and what it will be scored on.
