What teachers are most needed in CT?

Every fall, school districts in Connecticut provide information to the State Department of Education regarding the hiring of teachers for that school year.  The State Department then uses this information to determine which content areas are the most in need of teachers………which are considered “shortage areas.”

This information can be helpful to you in ‘expanding’ the endorsements on your certificate and, in some cases, making yourself more ‘marketable.’

The top 20 shortage areas for hiring for the 2006-2007 school year are:

1.  speech and language pathologist
