SWEA Golf Tournament: Saturday, May 19, 2007: Be sure to mark your calendar so that you won't miss SWEA's second annual golf tournament to raise money for SWEA Scholarship that will be awarded to South Windsor High School Seniors. The Tournament needs players, volunteers, and sponsors. It will be played at Goodwin Golf Course...rain or shine. Further details from your SWEA building Representative. SWEA Representative Council Meetings: Second Wednesday afternoon of the month. (September-June) at 4:15p.m. The meetings will be held in all seven schools this year starting with the September meeting being held in the Timothy Edwards Media Center. (Sept.13- TE; Oct. 11 - SWHS; Nov. 8- ET; Dec.13 - Mill on the River; Jan. 10 - PRS; Feb. 14 - OH; Mar. 7- PV; Apr. 11 - WP; May 9 - TE; and June 6 - Mill on the River).
Each school building has appointed members that are seated at these meetings on a regular basis but all SWEA members are encouraged to and welcome to attend. Meetings are expected to run for one hour. Refreshments are served.
CEA County Council: Meetings are held at the chowder Pot in Hartford and begin at 5:00 pm. Attendance is limited to Representatives from the Hartford County CEA affiliates. Pre-registration is required and must occur through your local President (SWEA - John Hackett). The dates for 2006-2007 are October 18, January 24 and April 26.
CEA/RA: the annual meeting of the elected delegates and officers of the Connecticut Education Association. the Operating Budget for the upcoming year will be presented and adopted in addition to the business of the Association for the upcoming year will be established. The meeting will be held in Cromwell at the Crowne Plaza Hotel during the weekend of May 11 - 12, 2007.
